Lake Street Dive Headlines Madison Square Garden

Congratulations to Lake Street Dive who headlined at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, September 14th. NEC alumni Rachael Price '07, Mike Calabrese '07, and Bridget Kearney '08 Tufts/NEC are a part of the ensemble, along with Akie Bermiss and James Cornelison. The band describes their most recent full-length album, "Good Together," as "a body of work both gloriously defiant and primed to inspire unbridled dancing and ecstatic singing-along."

Rachael Price '07 is Lake Street Dive's lead vocalist. She was born in Sydney, Australia, and grew up in Tennessee. Rachael received her Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies from NEC in 2007, studying with John McNeil and Dominique Eade '82, '89 AD.

Mike Calabrese '07 is Lake Street Dive's drummer and background vocalist. He grew up in a musical family, with his parents having met while playing in a rock band. Mike received his Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies from NEC in 2007, studying with Billy Hart and Bob Moses.

Bridget Kearney '08 Tufts/NEC is Lake Street Dive's bassist and background vocalist. In 2005, she took first in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest in the Jazz category. Bridget received dual-Bachelor degree in 2008, majoring in Jazz Studies at NEC and English at Tufts University.
