Delirium Musicum to Embark on East Coast Tour

Delirium Musicum, which is made up of several NEC alumni, will be touring the East Coast beginning in early July. Their upcoming performances include the Rockport Chamber Music Festival on July 1, the opening of Newport Classical on July 2, and the Naumburg Orchestral Concerts in NYC’s Central Park on July 7. Alumni members include Etienne Gara '12 MM (artistic director), Evan Hjort '22 MM (violin), Stella Cho '16 GD (cello), Javier Iglesias-Martin '16 MM (cello), Sophia Szokolay '19, '25 DMA (violin), and Nao Kubota '17 (viola).
 

Their 2025-26 season has been marked by several significant achievements. They released their second album with Warner Classics, Cabinet of Curiosities.

The album is described as,

"From the depths of this magical chest comes music revealing a myriad of facets reflecting the color of our artistic universe. From Baroque music to the music of tomorrow, with side trips to films scores and folk songs, this acoustic mosaic embraces our exhilarating and creative world."

The ensemble was also featured on Amazon Music's "Best of 2025: Classical" list, with their recording of Schubert’s Erlkönig ranked #11.

On top of these renowned accomplishments, Delirium Musicum won the San Francisco Classical Voice Audience Choice Awards in all five nominated categories.
