Yebin Yoo '22, '24 MM wins NEC's 2023-2024 Violin Concerto Competition

Congratulations to Yebin Yoo '22, '24 MM who won NEC's 2023-2024 Violin Concerto Competition. Yebin will perform her winning piece, "Hindemith's Violin Concerto (1939)," on March 6th with the NEC Philharmonia under the direction of Shiyeon Sung.

Yebin gained international recognition at the age of 16, becoming the youngest-ever winner of the Gisborne International Music Competition. She has also won the Australian Concerto and Vocal Competition, National Youth Concerto Competition, 3MBS ‘The Talent’ Competition, Preston Youth Concerto Competition, along with many others. Yebin received her Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from NEC in 2022, and is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Violin Performance.
