
So Young Park '12 MM, '14 AD Performs in The Metropolitan Opera's "Romeo and Juliette"

NEC alumna So Young Park ’12 MM, ’14 AD performed the role of Juliette in The Metropolitan Opera's final performance of Gounod's Romeo and Juliette this past Saturday. She took the leading role after a casting change. So Young made her Met Opera debut in 2019 as the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute. She has landed many other opera roles including the leading role of Setsuko in Jack Perla's An American Dream with the Lyric Opera of Chicago, and has experience with the New York Philharmonic, the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, and the L.A. Opera.
So Young received her Master of Music in 2012 and Artist Diploma in 2014 in Opera Studies from NEC.
