Composer Meira Warshauer '74, '76 MM, '80 MM has received the 2024 American Prize Charles Ives Award in Chamber Music for her work Ocean Calling, a trilogy for two pianos. Released by Navona Records, the albums Waves and Currents, From the Depths, and The Giant Blue, highlight the ocean’s majesty and the urgent need for its preservation, featuring pianists Phillip Bush and Elizabeth Loparits.

Meira’s music, celebrated for its spiritual depth and environmental advocacy, has been performed worldwide. Her accolades include a previous American Prize win for Symphony No. 1 Living Breathing Earth and fellowships from the MacDowell Colony. Performers and commissioners of her music include Dayton Philharmonic (OH), Allentown Symphony (PA), Slovak Radio Symphony, Orchestra Warsaw National Philharmonic, and many more!
