Tanni Wang ’21 Receives Cultural Council Grant for tTt Music Talk
Tanni Wang ’21 has been awarded a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council through the Boston Cultural Council program in support of her initiative, tTt Music Talk. The project centers on in-depth interviews with influential musicians and artistic leaders, aiming to preserve their insights while fostering meaningful dialogue across the evolving musical landscape.
Since its launch, tTt Music Talk has featured conversations with a wide range of artists and educators, positioning itself as a growing platform at the intersection of performance, education, and creative exploration. Wang’s work highlights the importance of documenting artistic voices while encouraging collaboration and exchange among emerging and established musicians alike.
Wang credits her time at NEC as a foundational influence on the project. The institution’s emphasis on artistic innovation and mentorship helped shape her vision for creating a space where musicians can share experiences, ideas, and perspectives.
As the project continues to expand, Wang is also seeking to reconnect with fellow NEC alumni across disciplines, including performance, composition, music technology, and education, with the goal of building new collaborations and strengthening the broader artistic community.
With support from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, tTt Music Talk is poised to grow its impact as both an archival resource and a catalyst for creative dialogue in today’s music world.
