He has also overseen multiple volumes in the NATS “So You Want to Sing” series and recently edited the fourth edition of The Singing Book, released in June 2024. From 2008 to 2016, Hoch served as Editor-in-Chief of NYSTA’s VOICEPrints.
Since joining the Auburn University faculty in 2012, Hoch has earned tenure and promotion to full professor, establishing himself as a leader in both teaching and research. Prior to Auburn, he taught at Shorter College/University for six years. In addition to his academic career, he has appeared as a soloist with ensembles such as the Oregon Bach Festival, the Santa Fe Desert Chorale, the Atlanta Baroque Orchestra, and the United States Coast Guard Chamber Players.
