
Heidi Stober ’03 MM Featured in Metropolitan Opera Broadcasts of La Bohème
Heidi Stober ’03 MM will be featured on live broadcasts from the Metropolitan Opera this fall, performing the role of Musetta in Franco Zeffirelli’s legendary production of Puccini’s La Bohème. Audiences worldwide will have the chance to experience her acclaimed artistry in three performances:
- Tuesday, October 21 – SiriusXM Live Radio Broadcast
- Tuesday, November 4 – SiriusXM Live Radio Broadcast
- Saturday, November 8 – Live in HD performance
In the 2025–26 season, she returns to the Met as Musetta, debuts the title role in Strauss’ Daphne with Seattle Opera, and appears in concert performances across Europe, North America, and Japan, including Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice with Jane Glover and Music of the Baroque, and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 on tour with the New Japan Philharmonic.
This engagement follows a distinguished 2024–25 season, which included her debut at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, as Gretel in Hansel und Gretel, appearances with the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Semperoper Dresden, and English National Opera, and concert debuts with the San Francisco Symphony and at the Oxford International Song Festival.
A longtime favorite at leading houses such as the Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Lyric Opera of Chicago, and Houston Grand Opera, Stober’s operatic repertoire spans Puccini, Mozart, Handel, Strauss, and contemporary works. She is also a sought-after concert artist, with credits including performances with the New York Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, and Boston Baroque, as well as solo recitals at Carnegie Hall.
Originally from Waukesha, Wisconsin, Stober studied at Lawrence University before earning her Master of Music degree at NEC, where she honed the artistry that has propelled her to stages across the globe. She went on to join the Houston Grand Opera Studio and today resides in Berlin.
