Robyn Bollinger '13, ’15 MM and Adam Rainey '12, '14 MM join the Detroit Symphony Orchestra

Congratulations to Robyn Bollinger '13, ’15 MM and Adam Rainey '12, '14 MM for their new positions with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra!

Robyn, violinist and former New England Conservatory Preparatory School faculty member, has been appointed DSO's new concertmaster for the start of the 2022-2023 season. During her time at NEC, Robyn studied with Soovin Kim, Miriam Fried, Paul Biss, Paul Kantor, and Lyle Davidson.

"Robyn is an excellent musician, and I'm so excited to introduce her and all the DSO's remarkable new musicians to our audiences this fall," said Music Director Jader Bignamini.

Adam has been appointed as the DSO's new bass trombonist. Adam was previously with the Kansas City Symphony for eight years, and during his time at NEC, he studied with Douglas Yeo and James Markey.
