Andrew Stetson ’07 appointed Director of the School of Music at Texas Tech University

Congratulations to alumnus Andrew Stetson ’07 on his appointment to Director of the School of Music at Texas Tech University! He began this exciting endeavor in September of 2023.

Andrew received his Bachelor of Music in Trumpet Performance from NEC in 2007. He has been with TTU for close to 11 years, holding positions such as Associate Professor of Trumpet, Interim Director and Senior Associate Director of the School of Music.

Andrew also serves as principal trumpet at the Steamboat Springs Symphony Orchestra as well as performs with numerous orchestras across the country and internationally. He's performed in the National Trumpet Competition’s live rounds and previously placed in the International Trumpet Guild Solo Competition.
