Conrad Pope '73 is an NEC alumnus who has contributed to the scores of more than a hundred films. These iconic films range from the Star Wars prequel films, the Harry Potter series, Jurassic Park, and Pirates of the Caribbean. He is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and has served on the Music Branch Executive Committee. Conrad is also a member of the NEC President's Council. He received his Bachelor of Music in Composition from NEC in 1973, and was awarded NEC's George Chadwick Medal.

NEC had the honor of hosting Conrad for a residency with our Composition department last week. He offered students advice for pursuing scoring for film, television, and gaming along with guidance on finding success after graduation. He even led a masterclass with members of the NEC community and the general public. Students had the opportunity to play their individual scores for Conrad and receive feedback.
