NEC Trustee and alumnus Chad Smith '95 NEC/Tufts, '98 MM was featured in The Boston Globe on May 5, highlighting Chad's vision for the future of the Boston Symphony Orchestra since his appointment as President and CEO in 2023.

Chad joined the BSO after four years as Chief Executive of the LA Philharmonic. He earned a dual degree in European History from Tufts University and Vocal Performance from NEC in 1995, and later returned to NEC to receive his Master of Music in Vocal Performance in 1998.
