
Two NEC Alumni in the U.S. Airmen of Note will perform in the Toronto Jazz Fest
The U.S. Airmen of Note, the premier jazz band of the U.S. Air Force, will be performing internationally this summer. Two NEC alumni, Tedd Baker '96 and Grant Langford '99, are members of this ensemble. The Airmen of Note are set to take the stage at the Toronto Jazz Fest on June 21 and 22. Stationed at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington, D.C., the Airmen of Note are one of six musical ensembles that form The U.S. Air Force Band.
Master Sgt. Tedd Baker is a tenor saxophonist with the ensemble. Originally from Boston, Tedd's career in the Air Force began in 2002. He received his Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies from NEC in 1996.
Senior Master Sgt. Grant Langford is a saxophonist with the ensemble. He is originally from North Carolina and began his career with the Air Force in 2008. Grant received his Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies from NEC in 1999.
