Adam Eccleston ’10 MM Receives 2024 Spark Award

Adam Eccleston ’10 MM has been named a recipient of the 2024 Spark Award for Oregon Artists, a prestigious honor from the James F. and Marion L. Miller Foundation. The award, which includes $25,000 in funding, supports mid-career artists in their creative development. The Spark Award recognizes Adam's artistic excellence and dedication to enriching Oregon’s cultural landscape.

An internationally acclaimed flutist, conductor, and educator, Adam serves as Principal Flutist of Orchestra Nova NW, teaches at Reed College, and leads the Recording Inclusivity Initiative, promoting underrepresented composers. His career highlights include performances at Carnegie Hall and collaborations with orchestras across North America and Europe. 

Adam received his Master of Music in 2010 from NEC, where he studied with renowned flutist Paula Robison.
