Wenting Kang '12 MM, '24 GD appointed NEC Faculty for Fall 2024

Congratulations to alumna Wenting Kang '12 MM, '24 GD who will return to NEC as Viola Faculty. She will begin her appointment in Fall 2024.

Wenting is a commended violist and recording artist who is currently serving as Assistant Professor at the Escuela Superior de Musica Reina Sofia in Madrid. She is the principal violist of Orquesta Sinfonica de Madrid at Teatro Real of Spain, along with being one of the founding members of the Madrid Soloists Chamber Orchestra. Wenting studied at Central Conservatory in Beijing, New England Conservatory, and the Kronberg Academy in Germany, under the guidance of renowned teachers such as Kim Kashkashian, Garth Knox, Donald Weilerstein, Miriam Fried, and Changhai Wang.
