Angela Yam ’21 GD

Hailed as “radiant” by The Boston Globe, Angela Yam ’21 GD is an experienced vocalist who has sung with a variety of orchestras including the New York City Ballet, Santa Fe Opera, Boston Lyric Opera, Boston Baroque, Chautauqua Opera, and Opera Saratoga. She returns to Boston Lyric Opera as an Emerging Artist for the 2024-25 season, performing the role of Ismene in Mozart’s Mitridate.

The 2025 Alumni Award
 
The 2025 EM Alumni Award, sponsored by the Entrepreneurial Musicianship and Alumni Engagement teams, provides funding and support for the aspiring projects of NEC alumni. Granted annually to NEC graduates, the award includes a $1,500 stipend, along with project consulting from the Entrepreneurial Musicianship team.

The deadline to apply is Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

The Boston Celtic Music Festival, running January 16–19, 2025, will honor the guitar-and-fiddle duo Rakish, featuring alumna Maura Shawn Scanlin ’17, with the inaugural Brian O’Donovan Legacy Artist Grant. The festival, presented by Passim, celebrates the vibrant Celtic traditions of Boston and beyond through music, dance, and community events at venues like Club Passim, Somerville Theatre, and Th
